This research line focuses on the development of optimization and control techniques for smart grid. Some of the addressed problems include:

  • Optimal siting and sizing of energy storage systems (ESSs)
  • Optimal ESS operation in low voltage networks
  • Local markets for community microgrids
  • Bidding strategies for wind/PV power producers
