3 About the course

3.1 Training objectives

Enable all the students to take on successfully the courses of the MSc programmes.
Help identify and fill the preparation gap in foundation subjects.

3.2 Contents

Basic concepts (at BSc level) of:

Mathematics
Linear algebra
Probability and statistics
Computer programming and technology
Data structures and algorithm design

3.3 Didactic methods

The course is organized in lectures and tutorials.
- Lectures are focused on theoretical and methodological aspects.
- Tutorials are focused on applications.

3.4 Learning assessment procedures

The course does not provide credits, hence there will be no final examination.
Homeworks will be assigned to guide the students in their own self-assessment.
