3  About the course

3.1  Training objectives

• Enable all the students to take on successfully the courses of the MSc programmes.
• Help identify and fill the preparation gap in foundation subjects.

3.2  Contents

• Mathematics
• Linear algebra
• Probability and statistics
• Computer programming and technology

3.3  Didactic methods

• The course is organized in lectures and tutorials.
  • Lectures are focused on theoretical and methodological aspects.
  • Tutorials are focused on applications.

3.4  Learning assessment procedures

• The course does not provide credits, hence there will be no final examination.
• Homeworks will be assigned to guide the students in their own self-assessment.
