Advanced Database Systems, 2014-2015

Couse organization
The course consists of two parts which will be taught in sequence.

  1. Technologies of DBMS (starting on Feb., 2nd)
    This part is dedicated to the study of the technologies exploited in implementation of DBMS.
  2. Advanced DBMS (starting date will be communicated later)
    This part is dedicated to the study of novel moderm types of DBMS.
Students registered in the programme in "Computer and automation engineering" are expected to take boths the parts. Students of the programme in "Ingegneria gestionale" are exptected to take only the second part, which constitutes the module "Adavanced database systems" of the course "Sistemi Informativi per la gestione aziendale".

Newsgroup
Students are invited to register to the newsgroup of the course. The registration allows to access the material of the course and to share comunications, questions and answers about the course.

In order to register:

  1. go to the URL https://groups.google.com/d/forum/avanced-database-systems-diism-siena-2014-2015 ;
  2. Register as a user of Google groups, if you have not an account, yet;
  3. Insert your user name and password;
  4. Ask to be added to the users of the group by inserting name, surname and ID (Matricola);
  5. Wait for the teacher's acceptance
