| I was born in Siena on March, 21, 1957. I attended at the local Scientific High School and I got the Degree in Mathematics on June, 29, 1979, discussing a thesis on some generalization of the theory of adjoints to algebraic curves. |
| I obtained a fellowship from the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche on November 15, 1979, based at the Mathematics Department - Politecnico of Torino. This was interrupted for one year, as I went through the compulsory military service in the Army. |
| From September, 15, 1982 to May, 15,1983 I was in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, as a Visiting Scholar of the Math. Department of Brandeis University. |
| In June, 1983 I got a position of Ricercatore Universitario (group: Geometry) at the Math Department of the Politecnico di Torino. This position was confirmed on December, 16, 1986. |
| I got a position of Full Professor of Geometry on March 6, 1987 at the Math. Department of the University of Naples, Faculty of Sciences. This position became permanent from March 6, 1990. |
| From November 1, 1992 I became Full Professor of Geometry at the Department of Mathematical Models, Faculty of Engeneering, University of Rome - La Sapienza. |
| From November 1, 1995 I came back to the University of Siena, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Mathematics (denominated Dipartimento di Scienze Matematiche e Informatiche "R. Magari"). |
