Advanced Database Systems, 2012-2013

Grading
Students are expected: to omplete a project 20%; to pass a final (oral) examination 80%.

Final examination
Students can take the final examination on official days for exams or (upon request) on hoffice ours (wensday, 14:30-16:30).

Projects
The goal of the final project is to practice with one of the technologies described in the course. Possible arguments include
  • To practice with a datamining tecnique
  • To practice with active databases
  • To practice with distributed databases
  • To build a web interface for a database
The project is not expected to be large and time consuming: students must only to show to be able to use the considered technique. The students must agree the topic and discuss the goal of the project with me. Students can submit the same project to this course and to another course, provided that the teacher of the other coruse agrees and the goal of the project is fulfilled.
