I was born in Massa Marittima, Italy, in 1973.

I received the Laurea degree in Information Engineering from the University of Rome, "Tor Vergata" in 2000, and the Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Siena, in 2004.

From November 2002 to April 2003 I was a Visiting Researcher at the Division of Automatic Control of the Linköping University (Sweden) and, in February 2005, at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands).

In October 2004 I joined the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena, where I was a research associate until September 2007, and currently I am an assistant professor.

I am a member of the Systems & Control Group at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena. I also joined the Center for Complex Systems Studies (CSC) of the University of Siena.

My research interests include robust control of uncertain systems, nonlinear identification, and modeling and control of environmental systems.
